Who We Are

I am a native Houstonian, with a passion for organizing. During my 13 year career in the beverage business, I was able to experience some wonderful trips around the world and gain some valuable wine and spirits knowledge. On my career path, I was surrounded by people following their passion for beverage, and I somehow wasn’t feeling that same passion in me. I seemed to always be missing that spark in my career.

As a natural born organizer, I was always drawn to creating organizing systems, even if I didn’t realize that I was doing it. My favorite childhood story is of a daring 3 year old that climbed on the kitchen countertop to rearrange the cabinet full of glassware…and I didn’t break a single glass! No matter where I have found myself throughout my life, I always seemed to be organizing in some way or another.

Fast forward to 2020, and a global pandemic that left me with a career on hold. I used my newly free schedule to soak up lots of time with my 2 year old, and enjoy being a stay-at-home mom. I also began contemplating what my next step would be. After some reflection, I couldn’t get the idea of professional organizing out of my mind. So, in late 2020 Higgins Home Organized was born!

I have used my lifelong experience to help friends, family, and clients find a new state of organized happiness. It brings such joy to me to experience the relief and reduced stress that an organized space can bring.
